MAK Design Kids: The Architecture of Things
What happens when a whisk becomes an antenna landscape? When packaging turns into futuristic façades, a sponge into a seating landscape, and a box into a space station? In this workshop, we shift scales and perspectives. Inspired by visionary designs from Vienna around 1900, we build our own space capsules—from everyday objects, found materials, and imagination. We experiment with shapes, sizes, and proportions to create an architecture of things: surprising, spacey, and full of possibilities.
